Lets Get Kraken! with Talk-to-pus
Utilizing Dragonframe and Adobe After Effects, this was a collaborative two-week project completed within 10 days.
Tyler fabricated Talk-to-pus out of a homemade wire skeleton. The walls of the set he made using insulation foam and a Proxon. He constructed the base using a hard foam. Using his experience in wood shops and fabrication, he created an underwater talk-show environment for our host.
He animated Talk-to-pus, the crowd of fish, and the burger. Additionally, all compositing was completed by him.
2023 24 hour Animation Challenge
Tyler Pflughoft was selected as the leader for Team Hot Keys for the 2023, 24 Hour Animation Challenge. Their team achieved Top 100 out of over 431 teams.
He led the team throughout the night and animated the time stamps 12-13 seconds and 23-26. He oversaw production and composited the final product.
ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK FROM “CHESS”
In class work, the assignment was in 3 weeks, create a 15 second animation. Inspired to see what he could get done he created a 3-minute and 56-second music video in 3 weeks.

This animation was featured in the film festival ‘The Final EXAM’ 2024 hosted by LCAD in Rivian Theater, Laguna Beach.

Tyler was listening to his favorite band one day, walking the coast of Laguna Beach, and he started to clean the beach with a trash bag in one hand and a flower gifted in the other.
He was inspired by these materials to commemorate the experience and music. He created an Experimental short, abstractly commenting on littering and the beauty in all objects.
11 Second Club
Participated in April 2024’s 11 Second Club. Placed 147 out of 217 entries.
The Rig is not Tyler’s, however entirely animated by him. The set was modeled by him.
